Jesus of the small things too

Matthew 10: 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. 30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

We tend to associate God with big things. When we are faced with a 'big' problem in our perspective, first thing is to instinctively pray and ask God to help us. When we need provision and supply in a big way, we also immediately think of God helping us in a spectacular way.  but im so glad that my God is also the God of the small things.

when i wrote on a piece of yellow post it less than 5 by 5cm and stuck it on the cupboard, that one of my wishes this year is to be able to go for a holiday overseas with my family/friends and that He would supply the money for it, He saw that. im heading to Seoul next week, and the way it happened was so supernatural. and just when i thought that i was spending too much money going overseas (with Thailand and Seoul burning a hole in my bank account), He supernaturally provided for me by giving me a pay increase through my salary this month. that on top of what the govt gave me for the GST payout. DaddyGod really means it when He says that He will provide for all of my wants. not just needs, wants too. that little wish was made, and the Lord who is high and mighty, saw that little request.

when my keypay went abit kookoo yesterday, all i did was to claim that it was not spoilt, i couldnt afford to buy a new laptop now. and He made my keypad work like its brand new again. this small request, did not escape my Jesus' ears, He didnt scoff and say dont bother me with small and insignificant things like your spoilt keypad, no, He knew that it was important to me and blessed me anyway.

when i was about to lock up the main door at my workplace, i felt a small voice telling me to check that one room, and indeed, i found that the air purifier wasnt switched off. if it was left till the next day, my boss would not be very happy to have left that on for the entire night. Jesus was sweet enough to remind something so unimportant that i dont even remember. but He bothers.

my God governs the universe and the innumerable galaxies and planets within those galaxies, He made every created thing from the ants to the beautiful mountains. yet, He notices when a sparrow falls to the ground. imagine, there are so many birds, of so many kinds. and the bible doesnt say 'not a exotic nearly extinct rare breed of bird falls onto the ground'. it doesnt say not a phoenix or some magical precious fowl. it says 'not a sparrow'. sparrow are birds that are almost worthless, dime a dozen. but not one falls without escaping God's eye. the number of hairs on my head changes every day. yet, He knows the numbers of hairs on my head. wow. have you taken time to count the numbers of hairs on your head. you wouldnt and you dont care. because it doesnt matter whether you know or not. but that intimate and personal knowledge is so important to the Heavenly Father. you might think, ah, thats just a nice sounding expression. according to your level of faith, so it shall be. when you really believe that He really does care and take notices of the small things that concerns you, you really start to believe that He really loves you.

and thank you Jesus, you really do love me. :)
