then i saw how the dance stars were like the stars in the drama "you are beautiful". an idol will always only be an idol, shining brightly on stage, to be admired from a distance. theres always this lopsided, asymmetrical relationship between stars & their fans, for it is 1 to a thousand/ten thousand ratio. and i saw it played out amongst the idol-like dancers who also with screaming fans.
my main point is this. that like it or not, dramas and movies are always a reflection of reality. the real world in the reel world. sometimes it comes in nice, glossy, sophisticated packages, but there is always something from the shows that you can learn or shows itself up in real life, attesting to the power and draw of dramas & shows. i have deprived myself of that would-have-been tremendous pleasure & enjoyment & even joy for so long, thinking that i was too atas and different to watch these mainstream drama shows. but, stories & characters you see on the big screen or television, would always be a part of you. that is the power of images & emotions.
this is not a post to convince the haters, because the haters will hate (overrated statement but so appropriate here!). but to celebrate the humble tv dramas/shows/movies/clips that have made an impact on my life!
