self-worth.

its much more vital for surviving in the world out there, isn't it? it beats almost your educational qualifications, connnections, looks even. its that extra something you got, when you actually believe in yourself enough, that even others buy it. it definitely opens doors that would not have been if you were shy, introverted, awkward. i think they call it charisma, the x-factor, or presence.

but what if they cant help it? its just not on their dna, to be the cheerleader sort. are they discounted? alienated? i think we know the answer. amongst the 'marginalised', they are the most inconspicuous ones. people fight for womens' rights, child rights, ethnical minorities, homosexuals, but rarely for them. i guess its hard for people to accept you if you cant even be comfortable with yourself.

i dunno why i said all that. random thoughts floating around in my head these few days.

  1. Don't worry, I have the weirdest, most random thoughts too. Some people say it's thinking too much, I take comfort that we don't have a 'nothing' box. :) GO WATCH THE DANCE VIDEO!
