"The whole art of teaching is only the art of awakening the natural curiosity of young minds for the purpose of satisfying it afterwards."-Anatole FranceHAPPY TEACHERS' DAY! the one and perhaps only day we return teachers the immeasurable favour that they had given us for the past year. of course, a card and a few sweets can never a fair return, but even then, teachers still receive them with gratitude.
if i were to be a teacher, i must, as my friends say, measure up to some of my own teachers who had set brilliant examples. of course, that includes my secondary school teachers, who impacted me as deeply as my jc teachers had.
i think it is very true that teachers will never know how big an impact they have made on their students lives, even, yes the bad ones. occasionally, i still remember what my primary school form teacher said, or a concept thought a few years back that still help me in my studies today. and it is also true that the amount of work that students out in can never surpass that of the teacher's.
sometimes, at the end of the day, you may not remember the content or concepts that your teacher taught, but you will always remember the life lessons taught. it may not spoken explictly, but you pick them up through their actions, passion, creativity, enthusiasm, patience, and love.
to all teachers, blessed day tomorrow! :)
